Sleepwalker Sun is an impressive Rio de Janeiro-based combo in the prog rock vein. The musicians are experienced and skillful instrumentists with a large curriculum in prog rock scene. The amazing female vocalist, whose voice ranges from powerful to delicate with great ability, brings softness and energy to the songs.

The keyboards are symphonic and bombastic, mixing Grand piano, Mellotron, Moog and Hammond organ with some modern synth sounds. The guitars provide a melodic and intense sound, with fragile arpeggios and hard riffs, alternating some great solos and acoustic moments. Bass and drums provide a rhythmic and technical background, sometimes aggressive, sometimes melodic, again.

To give a classical touch, a guest violin was added in two songs, courtesy of violinist Marcus Viana (Sagrado) – simply one of the most brilliant musicians in the current Brazilian music scene. He has an intense and wonderful work with Sagrado, besides a much celebrated solo career with soundtracks. Andre Mello (keyboardist fromTempus Fugit) contributes with his magnificent talent in one song, as well as Alex Martinho (guitars) with extremely technical solos and riffs in another one.

Also a male vocalist was added to bring more diversity to their music in two songs. Many other guests appear on the CD, which was mixed by Alexandre Rabaço and mastered by Luiz Tornaghi, who works with well know Brazilian artists such as Lulu Santos, Leila Pinheiro and Danilo Caimmy, among others.

Highbreed is the third CD from prog metal band Scars Souls, the follow up to critically acclaimed Troia. Musically, Highbreed shows the band with great maturity, mixing traditional metal and progressive rock, a perfect combination with female vocalist Andréa Palmieri. We can tell the influences of Rush, Yes, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and King Crimson.

It's a concept album, produced by Ricardo Piccoli with artwork by designer Jobert Mello. It will be released with a special edition slipcase.

Diapasão will release their debut album, by Masque Records, in early 2006. The band is a brazilian progressive rock trio, formed by pianist/keyboard player Rodrigo Lana, bass/acoustic guitar player Gustavo Amaral and drummer Fabiano Moreira.

Among their main influences are some of 70’s progressive masters, such as: Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Triumvirat, L`uovo di Colombo. Also classical music and jazz are great influences to Diapasão, making their sound more sophisticated. Melody and virtuosity, accuracy and improvisation, erudite and rock, simplicity and complexity. Opposites that are part of Diapasão, mixing them with competence and great talent.

The artwork of Opus I is credited to designer Gustavo Sazes, of Abstrata Studio (credites also for Sleepwalker Sun). Another great brazilian progressive band that wil soon be known worldwide, and admired, without a doubt.

DEVENTTER appears to the world with style and ability to show a high quality Rock’n Roll based on the best of the Progressive Rock. Since the year 2002, the band has added different influences (from classical to modern) to its music.

The result is the debut CD, entitled The 7th Dimension, which brings 9 songs that create a single but diversified musical atmosphere, corresponding to the intrinsic creative freedom of Progressive Rock.
